These scholarships enable Elementary, Middle School, and Senior High School applicants to pursue their educational interests beyond those programs offered by the school system. They are not to be used to fund tuition for courses offered as a part of the school curricula. They enable students to meet, work, and compete with other students locally, statewide, and nationally.
For a student to qualify, the program selected must be educational in nature. Teacher recommendations are considered in the selection process. The Foundation may award up to a maximum of 50% of the program’s tuition cost. Financial need and other available grant and tuition monies are considered when determining the amount to be awarded to an individual student.
For 2017, the application deadline is June 9th and the scholarship recipients will be notified by July 14th.
