SCHOLARSHIPS
In June of 1992, with much foresight and
consideration for the students and teachers of the Bellville and Butler
community, a group of concerned citizens created the Clear Fork Valley
Foundation, a non-profit organization. The Clear Fork Valley Foundation
is classified as a 501(c)(3) corporation. The purpose of the Clear Fork
Valley Foundation is to foster education within the Clear Fork Valley
community and to improve the general well-being of the community with
support from the Clear Fork Valley Foundation. The financial resources
generated are allocated to groups and individuals to improve the schools
and community.
D.D. Rummel Memorial Scholarship
D.D. Rummel Memorial Scholarship was established in 1998 by the Rummel family. D. D. Rummel was a Superintendent at the Clear Fork Schools. He was very active in the development of the Butler Historical Society.
This year's scholarship was awarded by Marjorie Tewinkle to Catherine Richmond who has been trasurer of the National Honor Society, President of the French Club, in marching/concert bands, Vice President of the History Club, Science Club, SADD, Academic Achievement Club, and captain of the varsity tennis team.
